Your wedding music, will be a major component to your reception. Not only will the music set the right tone and create the atmosphere you're going for, but the DJ will also help to gracefully keep the evening's events flowing smoothly from one moment to the next. The best DJs are booked well in advance – Infinity DJ is already booking 2 years in advance, so be sure to act quickly. To get you started, we've put together this list of questions and answers that we are most commonly asked.
Infinity DJ can accommodate all styles, we are very knowledgeable at all genres of music. We mix music to please everyone, and commonly start with oldies and classic wedding songs early in the night to top 40 and dance at the end.
Yes, but keep in mind we need to get approval from the bride and groom because this is a private event. Not all brides and grooms will allow this considering you are not invited guests. Plus if you arrive during dinner, you will not see much except people eating. The time you want to see is for the grand march and special dances. Because timing is never exact, you would need to stay at the hall for an average of an hour and a half (usually between 8 and 9:30pm.)
We have performed at nearly every hall and location within Sheboygan County. We require only an area of 10 feet by 6 feet and one 15 amp breaker. We have never encountered a location that does not meet these requirements. If we have never performed at the location, we call the location and verify our requirements.
We have a full worksheet that you can fill out that outlines your entire reception with page of please play and do not play songs. We also take requests within reason (we do not play music that will not fit your reception or customize it to your wishes)
With every wedding DJ package is included lights. Some packages only include 2 lights, other packages include up to 5. Everyone chooses package 2 or 3. Package 2 is the best value.
We completely setup and take down equipment. Setup is free and does not count against booked time. For instance if you have music from 5p to 11p, we will arrive at 4:15pm, setup play music from 5p to 11p without taking a break, and end music at 11pm, then break down.
We routinely monitor the sound level. We use directional speakers so the dance floor is loud and other areas music can be heard but not loudly. People can comfortably talk off of the dance floor.
We commonly wear dress slacks (khaki or dark colored with a dress shirt and tie. We may wear a short sleeve dress shirt or polo if the temperature is warmer than normal or air conditioning is not available (outdoor wedding)
It varies per package, we have 4 hours, 6 hours (most commonly picked), or unlimited time*
* unlimited time does not include ceremony music and is only one setup location.
People can request songs at any time, we encourage it! Some songs may not be appropriate or have swearing in them. We try not to play songs that do not match what the crowd is interested in.
Master of Ceremonies is included free with every package.
Since winning the best DJ in Sheboygan award voted by the Sheboygan press, we have added employees that have years of experience entertaining happy wedding receptions. We average combined 60 weddings per year.
Typically on the same day no. If we do, we plan ahead of time to account for traffic, unforeseen events and setup time.
We have many backup djs that are on-call 24x7. We also work with recommended companies. If someone is sick or injured and cannot perform, we have someone available ASAP.
Deposits or retainers are non-refundable if the date is canceled. We only require 1/3 down to book the date. If you re-schedule up to a year after and we are available, the deposit will be applied to the new date.

How extensive is your music library or song list? What genres can you cover?
We literally have it all. And if you do not have it we can buy it for you free of charge.
How do you keep your music collection up-to-date?
We subscribe to several DJ only music services and always have the hot top 40 or popular songs.
Are we guaranteed to have the performer of our choice at our event?
Performer depends on when you book, we work on first come first served and often have to turn away couples because we are already completely booked.
If the DJ scheduled for my event is unable to perform for some reason, do you have a backup replacement ready to go?
Yes, we have many seasoned Djs that work for Infinity DJ and also network with many recommended companies. We will have someone for you.
Do you take any breaks? What music will be provided during the breaks?
We never take a break. The music will not stop.
Do you act as the "emcee" and make all of the announcements?
Yes we act as emcee and master of ceremonies – included free.
How would you define your "style" when making announcements?
Every DJ varies, some are very outgoing and hype op the crowd, others are very classy. It depends on what you want in terms of feel for your reception. Please discuss with us.
Do you take requests from our guests?
Yes within reason, we stay away from vulgar music or items we feel will not work.
Can we submit a "Do Not Play" list?
Yes, it is part of our wedding worksheet.
Pricing and payment:
We offer much more than just the typical DJ, you will have a professional DJ with years of experience for the time frame, lights, professional wireless microphones, an emcee, master of ceremonies, organization of all special dances, setup and take down of equipment, professional sound equipment, a vast music library.
We require a 1/3 deposit or retainer to book. Because we receive many inquiries, we cannot pencil in any dates or hold any dates until we receive a signed contract and deposit. The remainder is due the day of your wedding or before.
Does this include setup and breakdown between ceremony and reception locations?
Yes – Included Free!
How much would you charge for overtime?
Overtime is based on the day of and current rate is listed on the contract.
Are there any additional fees that could accrue that I am not taking into account, like travel expenses or charges for special musical requests?
We require only $50 outside of Sheboygan County.
When will I receive a written contract?
We can email it to you, to book we need a deposit and signed contract.
How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due?
Deposit is 1/3rd the total, it is due when booking with contract.
How far in advance do I need to book you?
ASAP. We are booking into the next 2 years already.
What information do you need from me before the wedding day?
It will all be on the signed contract, name address, venue, phone numbers, email addresses, start and end time. Typically 5p to 11p.
What if we want to change the time later? Can we do this?
Yes, we can switch the time forward or back, or you can upgrade your package (for instance from package 1 to 2)
Can we add on items such as the photo booth, or video later?
Yes, you simply email us and we will send you a worksheet that will need to be filled out and returned to us. We cannot add the items until the worksheet is received.
Can you provide music and wireless mics for the ceremony?
Yes for an additional $200.
Does any of your equipment require special electrical outlets that I need to inform my wedding site about?
We use typical 120v grounded outlets.
What kind of space or stage do you require for the DJ?
We need an area of 6 feet by 10 feet for setup. That's it.
Do you set up a sign or banner with your equipment?
No – we consider that tacky.
How much time will you need for setup, sound check and breakdown on the day of the event?
We usually take 45 minutes to setup and take down. This is included free.
What time will you arrive at the site?
Typically 45 minutes before start time, with package 2/3 we will setup before guests arrive.
Will we meet again before the wedding?

When do we need to submit our music requests and event details?

Do you require a meal?
Meals are not required but are appreciated. Please write on contract if it is OK for us to eat.

We do not drink unless offered, if offered we set it aside.
